What's the difference between Balance and Credits?
Balance pays for AI model token costs (like a prepaid card). Credits pay for Knowledge Base queries and Memory operations (like a monthly data quota). They serve different purposes and don't overlap.
Does AI Gateway require a subscription?
No. AI Gateway is available to all plans (including Free). Token costs are deducted directly from your balance — pay-as-you-go. Subscriptions unlock RAG Knowledge Engine, Agent Memory, Audit Log Export, and other advanced features.
What are Credits used for?
Credits are the billing unit for Knowledge Base and Memory features. RAG queries cost 0.1 Credit each, Memory operations cost 0.05-0.1 Credit each. Note: AI model token costs are deducted from Balance, not Credits.
Can I change plans?
Yes, upgrade or downgrade anytime. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the next billing cycle.
What if I run out of Credits?
Paid plans (Basic+) can purchase Credit packs. Unused Credits automatically roll over with no expiry. You can also upgrade to a higher plan.
What is Audit Log used for?
Audit Log records all AI interaction details. Free/Basic plans support query only. Pro+ supports export. Business plans add tamper-proof audit chains and PII masking for compliance requirements.
Is my data secure?
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Projects are fully isolated. Vecstruct never uses your data to train AI models. Business plans include additional PII masking.
